Security of the Data Centre
Our data center is placed in a secure environment which adheres to a high standard of compliance in order that integrity and functionality of the data is preserved. Our data centre is also designed to host mission critical computer systems with fully redundant subsystems and compartmentalized security zones. In addition, we ensure that physical security is in place. Restricted access for selected personnel is strictly observed and video camera surveillance and security guards are put in place, especially when the data contains sensitive information.
Physical Layout of our Data Centre
Our servers are placed up to nineteen inch (19”) rack cabinets, in single rows forming corridors in between, which allows access to both the front and rear of each cabinet. The data centre is kept cool with air conditioning, with temperatures set between 20ºc to 22ºc (68 to 72ºF) and humidity kept between 35 to 65% relative humidity (recommended by server manufacturer).
Backup power is generated by uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and tapped into the building’s backup generator. All elements of the electrical system, including backup systems are fully duplicated with critical servers connected to both “A-side” and “B-side” power feeds to ensure N+1 Redundancy in the system so as to prevent a single point of failure.
Our flooring is made up of removable square tiles which is anti-static and raised up to 60cm (2 feet). This will provide a plenum for air to circulate below the floor as part of the air conditioning system, as well as providing space for power cabling.
Our data centres are also fitted with high quality fire doors, well equipped with fire prevention and fire extinguishing systems and elaborate fire alarm systems.
Communications network
Trisilco Solutions provides for the running of IP protocol suite via routers and switches which transport traffic between servers to the internet. Redundancy of the internet connection is currently provided by two service providers, namely TMNet and Jaring, though more upstream service providers (such as Maxis and Time dot Com) are also available. Network security elements deployed so far includes firewalls, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems and others.
International Compliance
Trisilco Solutions ensures that all disaster recovery implementations are independent and adhere to international standard compliance architectures, either on real time applications running, or an archive that consolidates email, file, databases, ERP and ECM data on a single platform. The disaster recovery services we provide to our customers enable them to successfully plan and implement business continuity strategies. These plans are based on industry best practices, enhanced with innovation, and regularly tested for performance.
